We are seeking a creative and experienced Interior Designer to join our marine design firm. The role focuses on designing and optimizing the interior spaces of marine vessels, including yachts, cruise ships, and offshore platforms. The ideal candidate will combine design expertise with an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of marine environments.

Interior Space Planning and Design
  • Develop innovative interior designs for marine vessels, ensuring functional, aesthetic, and safety standards.
  • Create floor plans, 3D renderings, and material selections for interior spaces such as lounges, cabins, dining areas, and service rooms
Material and Finishes Selection
  • Choose durable, marine-appropriate materials and finishes that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the availability and quality of materials.
Client Collaboration
  • Work closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and functional needs for the interior design.
  • Present design concepts and revisions to clients, incorporating feedback and ensuring satisfaction.
Compliance with Regulations
  • Ensure designs comply with marine industry regulations, safety standards, and classification society requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers and naval architects to integrate design and technical requirements.
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with shipyards, contractors, and construction teams to ensure the successful execution of interior designs.
  • Oversee the implementation of design concepts, from concept through to installation.
Design Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Provide reports on design progress, material selections, and cost estimates.
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, civil or a related field.
  • 1-2 years in interior design, preferably within the marine or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D Max, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of marine interior regulations and material performance standards.
  • Experience with space planning and furniture design for marine environments.
  • Soft Skills: Creativity, attention to detail, strong communication, and project management skills.
